Ingredients

For 1 serving.

Method

  1. Wash the potato well (no need to peel it) and cut it into sticks about 1 cm (½ inch) thick.

    5 min

  2. Optional, for crisper fries: soak the sticks in cold water for 30 minutes, then dry them very well with a clean towel.

  3. Spread the sticks in one layer in the air fryer basket, without oil. A small baking tray that fits inside makes it easy to put the fries in and take them out.

  4. Air fry at 200 °C (400 °F) for 18 to 22 minutes, until golden and crisp; shake the basket or turn the sticks halfway. On a tray, add about 3 minutes, since less air reaches them.

    20 min

  5. Sprinkle with the pinch of salt as soon as they come out, and serve hot.

Tips

  • Thicker sticks need a few minutes more, thinner ones a few minutes less.
  • Salt after cooking: it sticks to the hot fries, so a pinch goes a long way.
